    Chairman Bill May and State Director Kathleen Domingo both of Catholics for Protect Marriage will give everyone an update on the Campaign and help provide the big picture on how volunteer leadership can help pass Prop 8. We will be joined by representatives from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to discuss how our volunteer effort fit with the clerical support of Prop. 8 and and local Zip Code Supervisors explaining the grassroots part of the campaign.

    Everyone who is interested in restoring the definition marriage between a man and a woman is encouraged to attend! We will have bumper stickers and yard signs for people to take home. We will also have volunteer post cards for people to fill out or take if they need more.

    These gatherings are very important for us as we approach the final weeks of the Campaign. These gatherings will allow all of us to have our questions answered, meet other local volunteers protecting marriage, and be re-energized for the final push to November 4. Please make every effort to attend and encourage others to attend as well.

    Yes on 8 Campaign Launches Statewide Ad Campaign

    Monday, September 29, 2008, 05:16 PM PST [General]

    Dear Friend, For the past two months, California voters have been presented with twisted, inaccurate and false information about the same-sex marriage issue. Wealthy gay activists and Hollywood liberals like Brad Pitt have spent $5 million on an 8 week media buy airing an issue advertisement designed to create public support for gay marriage. They even got Attorney General Jerry Brown to rewrite the official description of Proposition 8 in order to bias voters against the measure. And last week our opponents began spending millions on their official campaign ads. It's no wonder that some polls have reported a drop in support for Prop. 8. Tomorrow, voters will begin to hear the rest of the story. Click here to watch the first Yes on 8 television ad of this campaign. <http://link.smartcommunicator.net?135-11-11-25243-54> Contrary to what gay advocates want people to believe, the gay marriage issue is not only about the rights of gay couples, it has profound implications for all of society - particularly children. The purpose of our Yes on 8 television ad is to educate voters that redefining marriage has broad consequences for all Californians. It reminds voters that gay marriage has been imposed on California, against the express will of over 4 million voters, and lets them see with their own eyes the arrogance of our opponents who expect voters to accept gay marriage, "whether we like it or not." It is a powerful, provocative and highly engaging commercial. California, meet San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom! Watch the ad by clicking here.
    <http://link.smartcommunicator.net?135-11-11-25243-54>
    With this ad, we are fighting back in defense of traditional marriage! Are you ready to stand up and fight with us? Together we can win this critical battle! Through the generosity of our supporters, we have been able to secure nearly $10 million dollars in air time to show this ad, and others, to California voters.  Our surveys show that this race is winnable! We can pass Proposition 8 if we air this commercial, and others that are in development, enough times between now and Election Day. But even though our supporters have given generously, we still do not have enough funds to complete the media buy we need to ensure that our message is received throughout the state. We must raise an additional $3.6 million to increase our advertising schedule in the final weeks of the campaign. Will you help us? Please go to www.protectmarriage.com and make your urgent contribution today. <http://link.smartcommunicator.net?135-11-11-25243-54>  We truly appreciate all you've done to help us thus far. Every dollar you give will go directly into purchasing more air time. We also need you to forward this email to all your friends, neighbors and colleagues. Make sure that they know about the consequences to California if traditional marriage is not preserved. The institution of marriage is on the line. If we don't prevail in passing Proposition 8, it's only a matter of time before activist judges in other states and liberals in Washington legalize gay marriage across the country. We can stop that from happening if we continue to work hard and raise the money necessary to let Californians know about the profound consequences that legalizing gay marriage will have to our state and our children. Please donate today to help us pass Proposition 8! <http://link.smartcommunicator.net?135-11-11-25243-54> Sincerely, Frank Schubert
